Summary
ChronoRef does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data. There are no analytics, ads, accounts, tracking or private servers. All processing happens on your device.
Data Collection
ChronoRef work offline and stores everything only on your device in the app's private container: imported images are kept unchanged, and small thumbnails are locally generated (compressed with metadata removed).
Any embedded image metadata (camera, time, location, etc.) stays inside the imported files—we don’t read, analyze, or send it.
To keep timers and galleries visible, the app includes a mechanism to keep the screen awake. This happens entirely on-device; no data is collected, stored, or shared.
Permissions
ChronoRef requests Photo Library (read-only) and Files access solely so you can choose images to import.
Backups
App files may be included in your device backups (e.g., iCloud), depending on your iOS settings. We do not receive or have access to those backups. The app itself does not implement an export feature, your content remains on your device unless backed up by the OS.
Retention & Deletion
Images, thumbnails, and the local index remain on your device until you delete them in the app or you uninstall the app, which removes its local data.
Children’s Privacy
ChronoRef does not collect personal data from anyone.
